Last Night

Yesterday was very special. Uncle Michael proposed to his girlfriend, Drew. Ethan is going to have a new aunt! We are so happy for you two!

I know an awful picture of E-man....but the only one of all of us. Drew is on the phone with my mom--It was 5:00 in the morning in Denmark.

On the Move...

E-man is on the move. He is constantly moving. We know it is only a matter of time before he starts walking. This weekend is going to be spent finishing the baby proofing.

Look what I can do....

Constantly...if he given a chance to grab a hold of something he is up on his feet. He has started cruising along also. He also grabs EVERYTHING, as you can see.

Look what I found...

Sorry that you have to hold your head to the side. It was just easier to capture the special moments.

Look what I found....It is AWESOME!

Brazos Bend State Park

This afternoon we went to Brazos Bend State Park, in other words Home to the American Alligator. Several years ago, Chris, Maggie and I went to the park over Spring Break. Boy, we will never do that agian. There were alligators everywhere. On the banks, in the water, and even on the hiking paths. Today was a whole lot better. We only saw three alligators (that was enough for me) and they were all in the water. We brought our lunch and had a picnic before we went for a walk around one of the lakes. Both Ethan and Maggie did well. Ethan enjoyed drinking water from the paper cone cups. It was pretty cute, although I think most of it went down the front of him. It was a wonderful Sunday!

Month Eight

This has been a busy month at the McDonald household. We started the month by traveling across the Atlantic ocean. It was a wonderful trip and E-man did a great job on the plane and with the time change. Here are some more highlights from the month: (I know that there isn't a lot of highlights, but the few have kept us really busy here.)

  • E-man has two teeth now.

  • He is crawling EVERYWHERE!!! He also has no fear when it comes to crawling. He came home everyday last week with a new bruise on his head. He is already ALL boy.

  • He can pull himself up to a standing position. I know that one day is just going to let go and start walking. I am not sure that I am ready for that.

  • We both started back to school. I think he is enjoying himself and comes home tired from playing.

  • He is a great eater. Some of his new favorites are corn and blueberries. Along with the old stand bys of sweet potatoes and pears.

  • He loves the puffs and yogurt puffs that just melt in your mouth. Maggie likes them, too.
