The McDonald Family: 2012

My baby girl is 6 months old!!! I can't believe that is has been half a year! Where has the time gone? She is growing like a weed. She isn't crawling yet...which is good, because I am really not ready for that at all. However, you put her down on one side of the room and she ends up on the other side rather quickly. Lots of rolling and some sort of scooting.

She is sitting up and has been for about 4 weeks now. She has two teeth on the bottom. The first one came in about 2 weeks ago, and slowly the one next to it has come in. She trying to figure out eating. I really have only given her cereal (not a big fan), an apple slice, and banana. She didn't like the banana smashed. It was a lot better when I cut in to small chunks and/or the entire banana. Miss Independent wants to feed herself already..she just isn't that coordinated.

She also found her voice! She likes to "scream" it is rather cute. Just not the other day when she didn't want to take a nap and then woke Ethan up with her "talking". She loves Maggie. Maggie loves her even when Avery grabs nothing but fur. Maggie may yelp, but that doesn't scare or stop Avery. I have such a good dog.

Not a super big fan of the cereal....but she sure did love the spoon.

Avery has such a wonderful big brother.

As soon as the high chair came into the house from the garage...we had one little puppy dog that was beyond excited. She has such a good memory and is really ready for Avery to start eating "real" food. Forget Ethan he yells when Maggie tries to get his food now....Avery has no idea what she is in for. :)
