Visitors from MA

Whatcha doing, little guy?

Ethan sleeping at the park. One day soon he will be running all around.

Can't you see his love of rocks?

Last week, my aunt, cousin, and my cousin's 19 month old came to visit for a few days. We had so much fun while they were here and Maggie got a taste of the future--living with a toddler. I have to say, she did pretty good with all the poking and being chased. Chris and I have the challenge of baby proofing our house before our little guy starts walking. Ethan took his first trip to the museum, park, and mall....I have to say he slept through it ALL. We had a great time watching the Olympics and spending time with family--can't wait to see them again.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was Ethan's first Valentine's Day. He wore his new outfit (thanks Christina) and of course looked super cute. It is pretty much a typical Sunday, last night the three of us went out for Meixcan food--yummy! Ethan was wide awake the entire time. He was just busy watching us eat our queso. It was really nice, I know that it won't be long before he is banging on the table and screaming like the twins that were at the table next to us. I am going cherish these days.

No Power....No Problem

Due to the cold front/thunderstorm/windstorm that we had last night, our power kept going on and off starting at 6:30 last night. The worst of it was starting at 3:15, it must have clicked on and off twenty times--just enough for me to get no sleep, no Ethan slept through it, I had a shaking dog on my pillow the whole night. At about 6 this morning, Ethan woke up starving, and of course we had no power, so I couldn't even make coffee to keep myself awake. So, Chris, Maggie, Ethan, and I went to Starbucks. When we got home we still didn't have any power, so we opened all the blinds and did a jigsaw puzzle. At about 9:15 this morning the power finally came back on. Ethan enjoyed his first power outage (he slept right through it) and his first jigsaw puzzle.

Newborn pictures

When Ethan was two weeks old, we had some newborn pictures taken. These are a few of the pictures--they all turned our great. We used a photographer that lives in our neighborhood, so we didn't have to go far. She did a wonderful job! Thank you, Lauren! Ethan looked so cute, that she even used some of his pictures on her website. http://www.imagesbystudios.com/
He is such a handsome boy--if I do say so myself. :)

Friends???

What's wrong, little guy? Maggie get that pacifer, again?

Each time I try to take pictures of Ethan and Maggie together, Maggie always runs away. Today, I got some good ones, only because I was eating lunch. For all of you that know Maggie, she will do anything for a treat. :) She does like the diaper bag, I went into Ethan's room yesterday and found her pulling EVERYTHING out of the bag. She thinks those pacifers are for her.

Month One

Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Mommy and Me

Wide Eyed and Bushy tailed...

Ethan is one month old now. It is so hard to believe it. At his one month check-up he weighed seven and a half pounds. It is amazing how much he has grown over the past couple of weeks. He has about grown out of the newborn clothes and diapers. Ethan is doing a good job holding his head up and enjoys looking around when he is awake. Chris and I are really starting to understand the difference between his cries--although at 3:00 in the morning I wish he would just tell me what he wants. :)
