Moody Gardens and the beach

A couple Fridays ago, Chris, Ethan and I went to Galveston. We went to Moody Garden's rainforest pyramid. Ethan had a great time. He was running around and loved watching the monkeys and fish. He has recently gained a huge love of animals. It is cute when he makes his animals sounds. All the sounds started out sounding like a roar, but he is getting better. His fish sounds actually sounds like kissing. It is so cute.

We had a quick lunch of Mexican food and then decided to spend some time in the Gulf before heading home. He loved it. He got a couple mouths full of salt water, but he was a trooper. It was a great family outing.

Yes I know...

Yes I know...that he is using his spoon, like a fork. But he is eating his yogurt and he is still learning. What a smart kid.

And yes I know...he really should be wearing a bib. His shirt only last a few more seconds after I took the video. I got to caught up in the moment of getting a camera.

I love this boy!

Moms and Muffins

This morning Ethan and I shared muffins together before school. When we picked him he had a wonderful Mother's Day card with flower handprints. The inside of the card says "From my hands to your Heart". I love being a mom.

Happy Easter, 2011!

On Good Friday we opened our big Danish Easter Egg. We also tried dying Easter eggs. That was an adventure!
As soon as Ethan got up he was so excited that there were eggs. he tried to hold them all. Soon he realized that he only had two hands. :)

We have had a great Easter. The Easter bunny was really good to Ethan. He enjoyed getting up this morning and searching for eggs. It was so exciting to see him know what to do with the eggs. The Easter Bunny even went into the backyard. Ethan enjoyed rolling the eggs down the slide. We had a great day talking with Grandma and Grandpa L. on Skype and then having a very filling lunch at Grandma and Grandpa M.'s house. Uncle Tim and Aunt Sarah even brought over confetti eggs--that was tons of fun.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today, Ethan's school had an Easter Egg Hunt. I was able to attend, it was so much fun. The kids loved it, and Ethan really got the hang of it. He even took eggs out of other kids' baskets and put them in his or another kid's. He loves to pick things up and takes things out. This is how we lose a lot of things at home. He was excited to see me, that is the first picture. He was playing on the jungle gym, if you look closely his expression is priceless. The picture below, isn't because I was leaving, it is because I took his eggs away so he could play on the playground. He got over it quickly, like always, and went over to play with his friends. We are excited about this weekend. Happy Easter, everyone!
